Educators and psychologists agree that intelligence undergoes important developments between birth and age six. A child's mind is extremely absorbent and curiosity is at a peak during these early years. When properly nourished and stimulated, as in our preschool environment, the child forms healthy patterns for a life time of learning. The approach that we use at our school has been time-tested for 80 years and has achieved success throughout the world. It has proved to be one of the most effective early education methods to guide a child through these critical years.
Group Activities, Art, & Music
We begin with manipulatives, and then gradually lead into abstract concepts. Beginning with numbers 1-10, 11-99, and 1-1000, the children learn linear counting and recognition of numerals. They then lead into addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. This is done through specially designed manipulative instruments and fun filled group activities and as the child matures, abstract learning begins to take place.
Physical Movement
Our children enjoy a large indoor gymnasium and a large outdoor play area!
